11/15 - BROADWAY WORLD REGIONAL THEATER AWARDS
Congratulations to the cast and crew of "Bridge of Madison County" at Chestnut Street Playhouse, which has been nominated for several 2018 BroadwayWorld Connecticut awards, including Zach and Eden Casteel (Best Actor/Actress in a Musical or Review, respectively), Derek Corriveau (Best Direction of a Musical or Review), and Paul Feyer (Best Musical Direction). Awards are based on votes from the public, which can be cast after registering at this link.

 

10/18 - WINTER RHYTHMS
On December 18th at 7PM, Zach will be appearing at Urban Stages in "People You Should Know" headed by multi-award winning cabaret artist Sue Matsuki, as part of their Winter Rhythms series. Also featured will be D'vorah Bailey, Emily Ellet, Mary Lahti, Katie Dunne McGrath, Lynda Rodolitz and others. Updates and ticket information will be forthcoming here.

 

8/2 - "THE FLOOD" MAKES THE NEWS ON NPR
St. Louis Public Radio has posted an article commemorating the 25th anniversary of the devastating midwestern floods of 1993, and features interviews with residents of the town of Valmeyer, the inspiration for the fictional town of Meyerville in 
The Flood.  The article also discusses in detail the upcoming benefit concert in New York, in which the Valmeyer Community Chorus will be participating.  Once again, tickets and information can be found here.

 

7/23 - MAMA'S ROUND 4!
Competition is really heating up!  Mama's Next Big Act is down to the top 15 singers, five of which will be eliminated.  The guest judge for the evening will be the lovely Natalie Douglas.  As always, tickets are $12 plus a two drink minimum (cash only), and reservations are strongly encouraged.

 

7/18 - MAMA'S ROUND THREE!
After another elimination round in front of a packed house, Zach will continue to compete on Tuesday, July 24th at 7:30pm. As the contest progresses, the room is starting to fill up very quickly, so booking ahead is strongly encouraged. Make your reservation here.

 

7/11 - MAMA'S ROUND TWO...
Good news!  Zach has made it past the preliminary rounds and will compete along with the top 20 singers on Tuesday, July 17th beginning at 7:30pm. As before, tickets are $12 with a two-drink minimum (cash only), and reservations are strongly encouraged.  All information can be found here.

 

6/21 - AND HAPPY EVER AFTER! (I WISH!)
This coming September, Zach is very excited to appear as the Narrator/Mysterious Man in the beloved James Lapine/Stephen Sondheim musical 
Into The Woods, presented in concert at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.  There will be four performances, Thursday through Sunday, on September 27-30 at 6PM.  Tickets and additional information can be found here.

 

6/15 -  MAMA'S NEXT BIG ACT
On June 26 at 7pm, Zach will appear in the preliminary round of Don't Tell Mama's second annual "Mama's Next Big Act," a variety act competition that runs 11 weeks from June to August.   Voted by the audience and a cavalcade of celebrity judges, the contest will include solo, duo and group acts in music, drag, burlesque, and variety.   Prizes include a $1,500 stipend towards a new show at Don't Tell Mama.  Cover charge is $12, plus a two-drink minimum (cash only).  All details and reservations can be found at the link here.

 

5/25 - "THE FLOOD" ANNIVERSARY CONCERT
In recognition of the 25th anniversary of the events that inspired it, Prospect Theater Company will once again present 
THE FLOOD: A New Musical, this time in concert to benefit hurricane-affected communities in Puerto Rico.  While the rest of the cast will be announced at a later date, Zach will once again be taking part in this beloved show, having been involved in virtually every incarnation since the initial 2001 presentation.  The concert will be presented at the Times Center (242 W 41st Street) on Saturday, September 8th at 8PM.  More information and link to tickets can be found here.

 

3/12 - "BUT WHAT WE DID IS THAT WE LOVED, AND LOVE IS ALWAYS BETTER..."
Zach will appear as Robert in 
The Bridges of Madison Countythe Tony Award-winning musical by Jason Robert Brown/Marsha Norman, based on the novel by Robert James Waller at the Chestnut Street Playhouse in Norwich, CT.  The show runs from April 19th through May 6th, with performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m.  For more information and to purchase tickets, visit their website here.

7/31 - THOROUGHLY DRUNKEN MILLIE
On Monday, August 7th, Zach will be appearing with "Drunk Musicals Presents: Thoroughly Drunken Millie" at the West End Lounge (955 West End Avenue), featuring all the characters from the classic Broadway musical "Thoroughly Modern Millie," but with a twist. Tickets are $15 with reservation, $20 at the door, with the usual two-drink minimum (please note: bar is CASH ONLY). Reservations and more information can be found here.

 

7/13 - "MCDICK" RELEASE DATE
Finally, a distribution deal has been reached for "McDick" (formerly known as "Big Guns"), the long-awaited indie comedy that featured Zach as hired muscle for the crime lord played by Mo Collins ("MadTV", "Parks And Recreation", "Lady Dynamite"). The film, which won awards at several festivals including Best Comedy (Philadelphia Independent Film Festival) and Best of the Festival (Hoboken Int'l Film Festival), now has a current release date of October 7, 2017.  Stay tuned for more information.

 

6/28 - THE ACCIDENTALS
On July 4th, Zach will be appearing with #TheAccidentals, a barbershop quartet consisting of various other New York singers, onstage at the Steel Stacks in Bethlehem, PA. The show will be from 3pm-4pm, and will feature several traditional barbershop numbers, as well as patriotic and contemporary selections. Admission is free to the public.
